Enjoy the taste of local native and organic foods, family-friendly activities, talks, and performance led by all the RIPE AREA artists and contributors.

When: Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM (RAIN DATE June 9)

Where: Wakamatsu Farm, 941 Cold Springs Road, Placerville, CA

How: Registration includes 1 ticket per person for at least 1 food tasting plate (while supply lasts). Additional foods, soft drinks, beer and wine will be available for purchase. You can bring your own picnic and set up (blankets, chairs, umbrella/pop-up, wagons, etc.,).

A collaboration between American River Conservancy and Myrtle Tree Arts, this free full-day festival features all the artists, musicians, storytellers, poets, and ecology experts in the Ripe Area project. Guests will be inspired during hands-on activities focused on rivers, meadows, wildlife, and ways of preserving and restoring cultural and environmental resources. Native plants for food, art, and culture are a special focus of the RIPE AREA experience.

RIPE AREA is funded in part by the California Arts Council and the Capital Region Creative Corps Program grant of Sacramento Office of Arts and Culture, with support from the City of Sacramento.
